About the team:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Luno’s awesome Finance team in a role with exposure to the wider Luno senior management team.
The FP&A team is currently made up of a Financial Planning team who are responsible for creating budgets and forecasts and Finance Business Partners who work with senior leaders across the business to support them in monitoring results and making key decisions as well as commercial analysts who create insights to support the decision-making process.

The role in a nutshell:
To work closely with key stakeholders from across the business in providing regular financial performance updates, challenging & supporting teams to create efficiencies and/or cost savings, improving financial literacy and assisting with advice and analysis to support decision-making.
Your mission will be:
- Meet with budget holders from across the business regularly to discuss any material variances in their financial results and support them in finding ways to get back to budget as required
- Educate budget holders on good fiscal management, and assist them in following processes for approvals
- Challenge budget holders to ensure the most efficient use of Luno’s funds
- Work with FP&A and budget holders to maintain up-to-date live forecasts and support the budgeting process
- Support business planning by providing relevant financial analysis and modeling
- Providing data and insight to support decision-making across teams
- Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function or in response to the needs of budget holders

- Experienced finance business partner with strong technical financial knowledge
- Practiced at building strong relationships with non-finance individuals
- Strategic thinker
- Commercially curious mindset
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly IT literate, comfortable operating and learning new systems
Nice to haves:
- CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
- Experience with Anaplan
- Experience in cryptocurrency or regulated retail financial services
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Proven track record for process improvement/implementation
